Achieve Success by Setting Our Personal Goals
Do you want to be the most successful person?
Without considering who we are, the most effective ways to achieve success is by setting our personal goals. Because by using goals to the highest scope of our ability, we take control of our life and give it a guidance.
Sometimes when we think about setting our personal goals it's pretty easy to allow the big things to come to mind. For example, things like, “Hey, I want to be a millionaire.” Or, “I want to have a Ferrari in my garage!” Or maybe, “I want to be the most successful person in the world!” These are some great goals and they are excellent goals to aim.
In any event, bombastic goals such as those in the above paragraph are long period goals and need multiple steps -maybe years- to reach. But remember, by setting only large goals it is so easy to become distracted from them, lose interest and rapidly start feeling depressed and in the end, we will never succeed in anything.
That’s why to overcome this and keep moving forward regarding our long term and larger goals, we need to set personal goals that are much easier to reach in a shorter amount of time.
Please store in your memory, be sure your larger goal is something you really want to achieve. First, take a seat with a pad of paper and a pen. Start scratching out every single step you need to take to in order to achieve this goal. These steps can be as encompassing as you desire just as long as they are crucial points to achieving the larger aim.
After you've made this list, lets get busy working on the first step. Complete and move on to the next one. By setting these smaller goals, completing them and being able to move on to the next level we are setting into our minds that we can accomplish things and that we can do what we set out to do.
For example, let's use the 'I want to make a million dollars'. The first step to that would be to make the first dollar; the next step would be ten dollars and then a hundred. After a hundred, we need to make a thousand and then ten thousand and then a hundred thousand, all the way until one million. Get it?
Actually, you can even break your small personal goals down into even smaller goals. Because you will need these to set your goals to accomplish them in a period of time that doesn't allow you to become depressed.
Arranging smaller personal target and obtaining them will energize our self-confidence and raise our self-esteem. With this increase in confidence and esteem, each goal we come to will be much easier to execute and continue to build our sense of self worth. By gradually stepping up our smaller goals, we will quickly find that we've finished the large goal.
